How should I separate the garbage?!

Everyone, when I first came to Korea, I had a headache because of the unconditional separate collection... Haha Actually, I was very annoyed at first because I didn't know well either haha If you don't dispose of the garbage properly, you may be fined ㅜㅜ So today, I'll explain how to sort your garbage without hurting your hair anymore!! However, each house may be different, so be sure to check with the owner or management office before moving in!!

It is usually divisible by 3. 1. General waste 2. Recyclables 3. Food waste.

For the remaining large items, you must contact the management office or local district office to inquire about how to collect them.

1. General trash

General garbage must be disposed of in a volume-rate garbage bag. Usually, there are 10L/20L/50L/100L, but I recommend 10L/20L for one room! And the important thing is that each region has different envelopes, so make sure to check the name of the region you live in and buy it at a convenience store or mart near your house! The price of trash bags ranges from 140 won to 2100 won. Prices vary depending on capacity.

2. Recyclables

The hardest part is when it comes to recycling... ㅠㅠ

Usually, they are divided into paper, vinyl, cans, bottles, and plastics, but they must be discarded at designated places. and as clean as possible

wash and discard Caution: In the case of a bottle, the sticker on the bottle must be removed! There may be a limit on the time of disposal and it varies from building to building, so be sure to ask before moving in!!

3. Food waste

Food waste bags can be purchased at convenience stores or marts. The capacity is 1L for my small one. If you live alone, I think you can use a small one. In the case of my house, even if there is no food waste bag, you can just put it in a plastic bag and throw it away in the food waste collection room. So be sure to ask and check before you move in!!

Separate collection is a little annoying, but it can be of great help to the environment, so let's do our best together and protect the glass index! haha Fighting!!!
