When I was looking for a restaurant to eat, I sometimes came across a restaurant called Jeongsik/Baekban. At first, I was curious because I didn't know what it was, and when I went, it was very good, and the food matched my taste, so I often go there. but you know? What is Baekban?

The Chinese character literally means 'white rice', but it usually refers to 'rice served with soup and some side dishes' sold in restaurants. A meat restaurant sells meat, and a chicken restaurant sells chicken, but you can think of a baekban/jeongsik restaurant as a place to eat. When you say 'soy sauce crab baekban', it's a menu with soy sauce crab sauce as the main dish and some side dishes. And there are many restaurants that change their menu every day. In particular, there are many cases like this in Baekbanjip, which is a type of restaurant. This is because there are many customers who come every day! The side dishes sold at Baekban House usually feel like 'home-cooked meals'. There is soup, jangjorim, kimchi, pancakes, stir-fried pork, and so on.

Baekban House that everyone can enjoy

Without a specific main menu, the menu is always changed, and there are many kinds of side dishes, so you can taste many different side dishes, and if there is something you can't eat, you can eat another side dish, so it's very satisfying as a meal. There are many side dishes made with vegetables, so even vegetarians can go and eat with friends! In Korea, we eat out a lot, so it's not easy to cook rice and side dishes at home, and it takes a lot of time to make many side dishes. That's why I go to places like Baekban House a lot. There are many side dishes, and the menu is diverse, so you won't get bored. I also really like set meals, so I go to Baekban's house to eat almost 1-2 times a week!

A place where you can eat traditional Korean home-cooked meals and side dishes with good value for money

It's usually around 7-8,000 won for just money, but there are not a few places where you can eat a set meal for 6,000 won! These days, when prices are low, a hearty meal with that money is the best haha. There are also many baekban restaurants that operate in a buffet style, so you can eat as much as you want, which is great. In Korean dramas, you've seen a lot of ordinary daily life scenes where the whole family sits at the table together for dinner, right? A lot of the side dishes that come out there are also available at Baekban House. You can also taste Korean traditional food, pancakes, and side dishes such as salted fish.

Baekban House is good for eating, but it's good to go for a drink~. It's not bad to have a drink since you can settle down with side dishes, soup, stew, and soup. lol. And there is a house where you can make a packed lunch. These days, convenience store lunch boxes are about 5-6,000 won. Paying 1-2,000 won more to make lunch boxes at Baekban House looks much better! It's a meal made every day, so it's better for your health than a convenience store lunchbox. A variety of vegetables, meat, and fish are served as side dishes, so it's good to look at it nutritionally.
