Hello~😊

Everyone, do you adapt well to Korean food when you first come to Korea?

It's been almost 3 years since I came to Korea, and I've been enjoying Korean food!

Among Korean foods, I enjoy eating stew very much these days.

Today, I will introduce you to my favorite Korean stew.

1️⃣ Kimchi Stew

🥘 One of the traditional Korean dishes, a stew based on kimchi.

🥘 Kimchi stew is a soup made by boiling kimchi, pork, tofu, onions, green onions, and garlic. As you know, kimchi is one of Korea's most famous fermented foods, and you can make a variety of dishes with it.

To make kimchi jjigae, kimchi must first be boiled with seasoning. In this process, the spicy and salty taste of kimchi is added to create a special taste of stew.

🥘 Also, kimchi stew is rich in various nutrients. Kimchi contains a lot of lactic acid bacteria and intestinal microorganisms, which can help improve digestion, and pork is rich in nutrients such as protein, iron, and zinc. Tofu contains calcium and protein, which helps maintain healthy bones and muscles.

🥘 Originally, I didn't like kimchi, but I don't eat kimchi stew either. But after eating a lot, I felt the charm of kimchi jjigae. It is really delicious and healthy food.

2️⃣ Soybean paste stew

🥘 When I first came to Korea, I went to a snack bar and they got soybean paste stew. At that time, I didn't even eat a bite because of the strong smell of soybean paste. But after living in Korea for a long time, I came to know the taste of soybean paste stew. Now I'm enjoying it very much ^^

🥘 Soybean paste stew is a soup made with soybean paste, pork, tofu, onion, green onion, garlic, and more. Doenjang is one of Korea's representative fermented foods, along with red pepper paste made by fermenting soybeans.

🥘 Now, if you don't eat soybean paste stew for a few days, you have to cook it at home or eat it out.

3️⃣ Soft tofu stew

🥘 Soft tofu stew features soft tofu and spicy sauce. Soft tofu is a food obtained from fermented soybean paste, and has a soft and chewy texture.

🥘 To make soft tofu stew, first boil the ingredients such as pork, seafood, onions, cheongyang peppers, garlic, etc. to taste, and then add soft tofu and cook it gently.

🥘 In Korea, when you go to a snack bar, they often give you stew when you order two dishes. Among the stews, there are many cases where you choose between soft tofu stew and soybean paste stew. I also made a lot of soft tofu stew.

4️⃣ Budaejjigae

🥘 It is traditionally derived from the food eaten in the military. It is a soup made by boiling various ingredients such as pork, tofu, rice cake, onion, green onion, bok choy, bean sprouts, red pepper paste, and red pepper powder.

🥘 Budae-jjigae is a food that combines taste and nutritional value with various ingredients, along with a spicy soup made with red pepper paste and red pepper powder.

🥘 Budae-jjigae is a soldier's food, but it is currently one of the popular foods enjoyed by many people at home and abroad. 🥘 Budaejjigae is a food I ate a lot in China before I came to Korea. It is so famous and delicious.

Today, I introduced a variety of Korean stews.

Just looking at the pictures makes me hungry.

Everyone, do you like Korean stew?
