Everyone~ Hello~!! Those studying abroad in Korea! Have you been to the university festival? If you are going to school in Korea, you cannot miss the festivals held at your school! As much as the festival day, I think it will be full of fun all day, away from the hardships of school assignments. Today, we are going to learn about various Korean university festivals!

🎊 Yonsei University in South Korea

Yonsei University's festival 'Akaraka'! Haven't you heard a lot?!

'Akaraka' is Yonsei University's motto, 'Akarakaching! Akarakacho! Akaraka Ching Ching! cho cho cho!

Akaraka is held in May every year, and it is not hosted by the school or the student council, but by Yonsei University's cheerleading team. Since its inception in 1986, it is one of the largest events on campus, and has significance as the first cheering event hosted by the cheering squad and is held at the open-air amphitheater on campus! Unlike other schools, the lineup of artists and celebrities is not disclosed in advance, but is completely private until the day of the event.

The composition of Akaraka usually consists of performances by clubs on campus, performances by guests, and cheering squads. The cheering match will proceed directly with the cheering song. There are so many different songs!

There are many songs such as 'Until the Sky', 'I Love You, Yonsei', 'Blue', 'Foreword', 'Oh my friend' and 'Primordial Forest'. there is

🎊 Korea University

I think you've heard a lot about Ypsilenti too! This is also derived from the school name of Korea University, ' Ypsilenticheyhop Kashikoshikoshiko, Kalmashikeshkeshi, Korea University Kalmashikeshkesh, Korea University'. This 'Ypsilenti' is said to have come from the name of a Greek independence activist, Alexandros Ypsilantis!

Ipsilenti is an event held at the green playground on the last day of the Stone Pagoda Festival, and it is held in three parts. This stone pagoda daedong festival is an annual event where various game booths, clubs, and department stores are held, and many fun events are held. The first part of Ypsilenti is a cheering party, the second part consists of celebrity performances and student participation contents, and the third part consists of a fireworks display and cheering party. The cheering squad is in charge of most of the work including planning, and the event will be held with the cooperation of various campus organizations such as the sports department, student council, and social service corps.

Korea University, of course, has cheerleaders just like Yonsei University! There are many such as 'Aria of the Nation', 'Whale Hunting' and so on.

Videos of students cheering, and even videos of celebrities performing! All of them are uploaded on each school's YouTube channel, so if you want to feel the atmosphere of this Korean university festival or are curious about the performance, you can check it out yourself~~
