I came to Korea and experienced various festivals. There are festivals held in Busan, and I have been to festivals held in other cities. There are so many festivals that it can be called a country of festivals. Each city has different festivals, and each festival shows the characteristics of the city.

In May, the month of family, various festivals are being held in Busan, where I live. If you have a chance to go to Busan in May, refer to this post and enjoy Busan's unique festival!

Gwangalli Eobang Festival

The Gwangalli Eobang Festival was held at Gwangalli Beach from the 12th to the 14th of last week this year.

The Gwangan Fishing Festival is one of Busan's representative spring festivals, and it is the only festival in the country based on the folklore of traditional fishing villages.

The Gwangan Eobang Festival reproduces the historical and cultural values of intangible cultural assets, such as the traditional fishing village of Gyeongsang Jwasuyeong and Jwasu English Bang Nori, and plans a festival interpreted as a current urban fishing village that has inherited the tradition, so that local residents can learn about our local traditional culture. It gives tourists a chance to enjoy precious cultural heritage together through the contents of the Gwangalli Fish Festival as a sight and experience of a fishing village where tradition and modernity are harmonized. A festival is held in May every year, and the Gwangalli Eobang Festival has established itself as one of the representative festivals in Busan.

The festival typically offers a variety of cultural programs in addition to the Eobang tasting. There are traditional art performances and stages in Busan, an international fishing culture exchange program to interact with overseas fishermen, a fishing experience program, and various water leisure programs to enjoy with family, lovers, and friends against the backdrop of the sea. Various foods such as fish dishes and beer are also sold.
