Hello~ 😊

Guys, do you like books?

When I was learning Korean, I watched a lot of Korean dramas and movies, and also read Korean books. I love to read books from an early age. I read a lot of Chinese novels, but I also wanted to try Korean books.

Nowadays, fewer and fewer people read paper books in a world where the Internet is so fast.

But I think paper books are still important. If you read a paper book before bed , you can have time to focus on reading without interference from electronic devices. And since paper books are mainly used for reading, there are no other applications, internet browsing, etc., so you can focus only on reading.

Also, reading Korean books can gradually improve your Korean reading skills.

Today, I would like to recommend some Korean books.

1️⃣ Korean book recommendation - <I want to die, but I want to eat tteokbokki>

📖

I first looked for Korean books and found this one. Looking at the title, it sounds very negative, but it also seems very positive. When I searched it, it was published in 25 countries and sold 1 million copies worldwide. What kind of book is it that has received such high praise? I read this book out of curiosity.

📖

This book has difficult words, but I think foreigners can read it because the content is not difficult. In addition, if there are words you don't know, you can look them up in the dictionary and write them down, so it's an opportunity to learn Korean.

📖

This book is a compilation of conversations between an author with dysthymic disorder (a condition in which mild depressive symptoms persist) and a psychiatrist.

"This book may not take away all your sadness, but at least it will help you become a person who can cry when you want to cry, not a person who never cries."

After reading this book, many thoughts come to mind.

2️⃣ Korean book recommendation - <Kim Ji-young, born in 1982>

📖

"Kim Ji-Young, Born in 1982" is a novel written by Jo Nam-joo, and has received great attention in the Korean literary world. This novel deals with women's lives and problems in modern Korean society.

📖

Before I read this book , I watched the movie 'Kim Ji-young, Born in 1982'. The content of the movie was so realistic and sad. This is a very hot and famous movie of 2019. I came across this book by accident when I went to a bookstore after seeing this movie. Since I saw the movie first, I easily understood the content of the book <Kim Ji-young, Born in 1982>.

📖

"Kim Ji-young, born in 1982" is evaluated as a work that reveals the realistic difficulties women in modern Korean society face and the other side of their lives.

3️⃣ Various Korean fairy tale books

📖

Everyone, when you were young and learning a language, you read a lot of children's books, right?

If you want to improve your Korean, reading Korean children's books is also recommended.

📖

Since Korean children's books often use everyday vocabulary and phrases simply and naturally, I think they are good resources for beginner to intermediate level Korean learners.

📖

Korean children's books cover a variety of topics and stories, and are organized in an easy-to-understand way by visualizing the story with pictures. And children's books are fun and you can read them over and over again without getting bored.

📖

Also, while reading children's books, you can understand and become familiar with Korean culture and traditions.

📖

Today, I recommended Korean books that are good for foreigners to read.

Feel the culture and charm of Korea while reading books!

Have a nice weekend!
