Design of Lotte World Tower

The design of Lotte World Tower was inspired by the traditional beauty of curves in Korea. The curve of the tower can remind you of the graceful beauty of traditional Korean materials such as Goryeo celadon (ceramics from the Goryeo period), hanbok, and eaves of hanok. In addition, the shapes of ceramics and brushes (a pen used by Koreans in the past) were expressed to encompass form and simplicity.

Lotte World Tower has a world-class wind and earthquake-resistant design. It has a wind-resistant design that can withstand typhoon Katrina-class (strong wind grade) winds of 80m per second and an earthquake-resistant design that can withstand earthquakes of magnitude 9 or higher.

In addition, as an eco-friendly building, Lotte World Tower has introduced renewable energy such as wind power generation, solar power generation, geothermal heating and cooling, and air conditioning using the Han River as a heat source.

Global Positioning System (GNSS) is a system that measures the 3D position of an object using artificial satellites. It is a technology applied to the Burj Khalifa in Dubai and the World Trade Center in New York. Lotte World Tower calculates the amount of correction considering the behavior of the building through measurement values simultaneously observed by at least 4 satellites and measurements of 7 inclinometers that can check how much the building tilts from side to side, and proceeds with ultra-precision construction without even the slightest error. I did.

These technologies go beyond verticality management to shorten the construction period and enable stable building maintenance through long-term continuous monitoring.
