I went to the Korean military once on a day trip last Sunday. Guys, have you ever heard of the Gunwigun?
Gunwi-gun is a county located in Gyeongsangbuk-do, South Korea. Gunwi-gun consists of Gunwi-eup, Sanseong-myeon, Bugye-myeon, Uljin-myeon, Uljin-eup, Jukbyeon-myeon, Samrye-myeon, Seokpo-myeon, Sobo-myeon, Goro-myeon, Yeongcheon-myeon, Yeongchang-myeon, and Unsu-myeon. Gunwi-gun has a relatively small population and is famous for its beautiful rural environment.
Gunwi-gun has tourist attractions and attractions where you can enjoy the natural environment. You can also enjoy various activities such as walking, hiking, and camping. From July 1st, Gunwi-gun will be incorporated into Daegu Metropolitan City. So Gunwi-gun planned a tour of Gunwi-gun to commemorate its incorporation into Daegu. This tour went to places such as Midnight Village, Yuwon, When Mom and Dad were young, Hwabon Station, and Three Kingdoms Heritage.
This tour first went to Midnight Village. Midnight Village is a traditional hanok village that has been preserved and regenerated, and is a place where you can experience traditional Korean culture and history.
Midnight Village is full of old traditional houses, so you can appreciate the beauty of traditional Korean houses. There are traditional hanok houses that are rare to see throughout the village, and some of them are designated as cultural heritage and preserved. Here, you can enjoy experiences inside a traditional house, traditional performances, and traditional food. It seems that it was a pity that we couldn't experience it because it was a holiday that day.
In Gunwi, North Gyeongsang Province, there is a small train station that is considered one of the most beautiful in Korea.
This train station is Hwabon Station. Hwabon Station started operation in 1938 as a regular station on the Jungang Line. Hwabon Station is a small and friendly rural transit station that is popular on TV and popular with tourists on weekends. Adjacent to the train station is a rural village as small as the station. If you look around the station and the town, you can feel the romance of the train station.
Mom and Dad's childhood memories museum. This museum has been created as a theme park where you can remember the old days on the site of Sanseong Middle School, which is now closed. This is an opportunity to see the old Korea and learn about Korean culture. As a foreigner, I was very curious, and I was impressed that it seemed to be very different from Korea now.
