Hello!😊

Everyone, have you ever drank a lot while studying in Korea? Koreans are very fond of alcohol, so drinking is indispensable when living in Korea. In Korea, social gatherings have important cultural values. Alcohol is an important medium for Koreans to form and strengthen relationships with family, friends and colleagues. Koreans communicate, build intimacy, and enhance understanding of each other while drinking.

Today, I will introduce you to alcohol in Korea.

1️⃣ Korean alcohol - Makgeolli

My favorite alcoholic beverage is makgeolli. Makgeolli is a traditional Korean alcoholic beverage. Makgeolli is an alcoholic beverage made by fermenting grains such as rice or barley. Makgeolli can be typically divided into white makgeolli and dongdongju.

First, white makgeolli is makgeolli made using grains such as barley and wheat. White makgeolli has a white color with fine membranes and a soft and refreshing taste.

Next, let's talk about Dongju. Dong Dongju is a makgeolli made using rice as the main ingredient. Dongju has a transparent color close to Takju and has an alcohol content of about 13-15%.

Makgeolli is a favorite drink with traditional Korean food. In particular, Koreans drink a lot on rainy days. In addition, makgeolli is known to be good for health, and contains various nutrients and lactic acid bacteria, which can help digestion.

2️⃣ Korean alcohol - soju

When talking about alcohol, you cannot leave out soju. Soju is one of Korea's representative alcoholic beverages. Personally, I don't like soju, but many Koreans like it a lot. There are many types and brands of soju.

First of all, the most famous soju is Chamisul. Chamisul is produced by a company called Nongshim and is loved by many people at home and abroad. Chamisul has a clear and clean taste and floral scent, and is characterized by a soft and clean alcohol taste.

Jinro is known as the second most popular soju brand. Jinro has the most types of soju, so you can enjoy a variety of flavors and aromas. In particular, Jinro 24 is popular among those who prefer strong flavors due to its high alcohol content.

3️⃣ Korean alcohol - beer

Koreans also love beer. In particular, it is often eaten mixed with soju and beer. There are many different types of soju in Korea.

The first is Cass. Cass is one of the most famous beers in Korea. Cass is characterized by a light taste and clean alcohol taste.

The second is Pilsner. Pilsner is a German-style beer with a deep golden color and rich foam. And it has a luxurious taste and aroma.
