hello! Everyone, today I will introduce you to Beomeosa Temple, a beautiful temple in the Yeongnam region. Beomeosa Temple, located in Geumjeong-gu, Busan, is considered one of the three proud temples in Yeongnam, along with Haeinsa Temple and Tongdosa Temple.

Beomeosa Temple was built during the reign of King Munmu of Silla and is famous as a training temple that historically produced many great monks. In particular, as it is located at the foot of Geumjeong Mountain, it boasts a beautiful valley and excellent mountain scenery, and many people visit it all year round.

When you visit this place, you will be greeted by a pillar and a hippopotamus stone at the entrance of Beomeosa Temple. Danganjiju, which has been guarded for 1,300 years, shows a majestic appearance like a guardian deity. Hippo Stone is a stone statue created to overcome the adversity of monks in the late Joseon Dynasty, and is one of the special sights that can be seen at the temple.

Jogyemun Gate of Beomeosa Temple is a low gate that can only be passed by bending over. This symbolizes the attitude of serving by lowering one's mind as much as one's bent body. Jogyemun Gate has the architectural style of the mid-Joseon Dynasty, so it will be valuable information for those interested in wooden architecture.

Daeungjeon Hall is designated as National Treasure No. 434 and is a building that is elegant yet sturdy. The round eaves made of wood and the unique stylobate staircase embody the styles of the Silla period and the late Joseon Dynasty at the same time. The interior of the main hall is magnificent, and Treasure No. 1526, the wooden Buddha Triad, has greeted visitors with a smile over the years.

Inside Beomeosa Temple, there are various relics made of stone. The stone lantern at the entrance to the main hall is of high historical value as it follows the style of the late Unified Silla period. The three-story stone pagoda of Beomeosa Temple is also one of the attractions that you cannot take your eyes off as it conveys the beauty of Unified Silla.

The wisteria colony at Beomeosa Temple that runs along the valley is perfect for taking a break while walking around the temple. The community of stone seas is another attraction of Beomeosa Temple, and you can enjoy a moment of healing while listening to the cool sound of water in the green forest.

The beautiful Beomeosa Temple, located along a quiet mountain path that makes you feel as if you were a hermit, offers comfort through the benevolent image of Buddha to those who need leisure and relaxation. You should also visit Beomeosa Temple, one of the three major temples in Yeongnam. This is a place where you can enjoy the beauty of each season: spring, summer, fall, and winter!
