Korean food is known around the world for its rich taste and nutritional value through various staple foods. In this article, we will learn about dumplings, rice cakes, and noodles, which are other charms of Korean food. These foods are traditional Korean foods and are representative staple foods that are often enjoyed on special days, events, and even in everyday life.


I like Korean noodles. You can eat noodles no matter whether the weather is hot or cold. Dumplings are a companion to noodles, and I used to order them every time I ate them.

Dumplings and rice cakes occupy an important place in Korean food culture. There are various types of dumplings depending on the shell material and filling. The shells are mainly made by kneading and rolling out flour, but there are also buckwheat dumplings made from buckwheat flour. Tteokguk (rice cake soup) is a traditional food eaten in Korea on the first day of the new year, the first day of the new year. It also has the meaning of paying ancestral rites to ancestors. They are an essential part of sharing precious family time in Korean homes.

Noodles are Korea's representative noodle dish, made with a variety of ingredients and methods, and are often served at parties or entertaining guests rather than morning and evening meals, and are also consumed for a simple lunch. My favorite noodles are bean noodles, kalguksu, and anchovy noodles. If you have a chance to come to Busan, visit Haeundae or Seomyeon. There is Gijang Kalguksu in Seomyeon and Son Kalguksu in Haeundae.

Dumplings, rice cakes, and noodles are traditional Korean staple foods that not only have great taste but also have special meaning. These foods are important elements representing Korea's food culture and are enjoyed in a variety of settings, from home to special events.
