Amazing health benefits of walking barefoot

Hello, international students! Let me introduce you to a new trend that is popular in Busan these days. It's 'barefoot walking', and in English it's called "earthing" or "grounding." Many people believe that walking barefoot is good for your health. It is said that when you walk barefoot, electrons from the ground are transferred to your body, eliminating static electricity and providing an antioxidant effect. It is also said to have various health benefits, including relieving physical and emotional stress and pain.

A great place to walk barefoot in Busan

Busan has many perfect places to enjoy barefoot walking. Among them, the place I would like to especially recommend is ‘Tamgmoesan Hwangtogil’. This is a path that is about 2 kilometers long and follows a dense cedar forest and a clear lake. Hwangtotgil has a relaxing effect on your feet, so you can enjoy walking barefoot comfortably at any time. Additionally, this road is connected to section 1 of Galmaetgil Course 8, so longer walks are possible.

barefoot walking on the beach

Busan's beaches are also great for walking barefoot. Songjeong, Gwangalli, and Dadaepo Beach are all ideal places for walking barefoot, and walking along the beach makes walking barefoot more effective thanks to the saltiness of the sea water. Walking barefoot on the beach is a great help in relieving stress and relaxing thanks to the tranquility of the sea and beautiful scenery. Each beach also has foot washing facilities for your convenience.

Barefoot walking at Busan Citizens Park

Busan Citizens Park, located in Busanjin-gu, is also a great place to enjoy barefoot walking. There are three courses here: the 300-meter red clay road from South Gate 1 to North Gate 1, the 150-meter red dirt road between North Gate 2 and South Gate, and the sand road between the musical fountain and water park. There are also foot washing facilities in the park, so you can wash your feet cleanly after enjoying walking barefoot.

Enjoy walking barefoot in Busan, take care of your health, and enjoy the beautiful nature! And when walking barefoot, don't forget to watch your feet for safety and avoid hazards. Have fun walking barefoot!
