Korea University of Cultural Heritage offers a special program for international students to experience Korea's traditional culture and heritage during summer vacation. Join the “K-Heritage Summer School” and learn in depth about Korea’s rich culture, history, and natural heritage!

Program Overview and Purpose

K-Heritage Summer School is a non-degree program developed by Korea University of Traditional Culture that provides international students residing in Korea with the opportunity to systematically experience and learn about Korea's traditional culture and heritage. This program will run for a total of three weeks from July 3 to July 17, 2024, and provides free courses that integrate theory and experience to international students interested in culture, history, and natural heritage.

Eligibility and application method

To be eligible to apply for the program, you must be a foreign national and have been attending a domestic university or language school for at least one year. In addition, those who have no difficulty understanding and participating in classes taught in Korean, those who are suitable for group living, those who are interested in Korean heritage, have excellent character, and are willing to participate in the program are eligible. The application submission period is from May 20 to June 7, 2024, and applications and letters of recommendation must be collected and submitted through the international exchange department of each university.

Student benefits and program details

Students participating in this program will have the opportunity to experience special heritage in various places such as Buyeo and Seoul Education Center (Myeong-dong UNESCO Center), Heungbokjeon Hall of Gyeongbokgung Palace, and the National Palace Museum. Additionally, to commemorate the first semester, the entire tuition fee will be waived, and transportation, lodging, and food expenses for the 2-day, 1-night Buyeo field trip will be fully subsidized. Those who faithfully complete the program will receive a certificate of completion and a small souvenir. Through this special opportunity, learn and experience Korea’s traditional culture and heritage in depth.
