The National Hangeul Museum operates the ‘Encounter Hangeul through Design’ program specially prepared for foreign groups. This program aims to help you gain a deeper understanding of Korean culture while experiencing the beauty and unique design of Hangul.

Training content

In this program, we learn the principles and formative characteristics of Hangul and explore various Hangul font designs. Additionally, participants can create their own personal keychain using Korean consonant and vowel letter stickers.

• Training target : Foreign groups such as foreigners residing in Korea, foreign students, foreign workers, etc. (minimum 15 people)
• Training date and time : Available on Tuesday and Friday afternoons on weekdays, excluding closed days (60 minutes)
• Education type : Real-time distance education using the online platform ZOOM
• Participation fee : Free
• Supplies : Hangul design teaching materials (delivered to the institution in advance)
• Language Requirement : Conducted in Korean, beginner level Korean or higher is recommended.

Applications for training are available from Thursday, June 27, 2024, and individual applications are not possible. After calling the person in charge, you must fill out the application form and send it by e-mail.

• Cancellation of training is possible up to 2 weeks before the start of training, and cancellation requests after that will not be accepted.
• Training times may be adjusted depending on the circumstances of the participating institution and will be adjusted after consultation with the person in charge.
