Contest Overview: Busan Travel Experience Essay Anyone Can Participate in

This contest is open to both Koreans and foreigners who have stayed in Busan for more than two nights in 2023 or 2024. Anyone who wants to share a special experience or precious memory from their trip can participate. The contest will be open from August 1 to September 25, 2024.

How to apply: Take part in a simple process

To apply, you must download and fill out the form provided on the Busan Urban Development Corporation Arpina website. The manuscript should be written within 3 pages of A4 (Human Myungjo 12 point, 180% line spacing), and at least 2 photos must be attached. Foreigners can write in English or Korean, and must submit a copy of their passport. The completed manuscript and photos can be submitted by email (bmcarpina@bmc.busan.kr).

Judging criteria and award details: Fair judging based on various criteria

The contest is judged based on various criteria such as publicity, truthfulness, emotion/interest, and distinctiveness, and up to 2 points are added based on the length of stay. Through the judging, the Grand Prize, Excellence Prize, and Encouragement Prize are selected in the domestic/foreign general and youth categories, respectively, and a total of 22.4 million won in prize money and products are awarded.
