Hello~😀

I am a Chinese student studying in Korea. I have been in Korea for four years. I am currently studying at the graduate school of Chung-Ang University.

1. Reason for visiting Korea

I learned that Korea's media industry is developing faster than China's, and that the Korean Wave is popular all over the world and has a big influence on China. I became interested in studying abroad in Korea when I was a high school student. After that, I came to Korea and chose the Department of Media Communications because I wanted to study media studies, which I had been interested in, more systematically as a major in college.

2. Accommodation for foreign students

When I first came to Korea, I lived in a dormitory. I lived there for two years and then started living on my own. Dormitory life was convenient and cheap, but sometimes there were not enough places, so I had no choice but to leave. At first, I didn't speak Korean well, and it was really hard to find a room by myself. Also, I was young, so I was worried that I might meet a bad real estate agent and get scammed. Fortunately, my close Korean friend's mother worked in real estate, so I was able to get a lot of help.

3. Improvement measures for inconveniences

When I first came to Korea, I had a really hard time because I wasn't good at Korean. I didn't have any Korean friends and I couldn't make friends in class, so I felt very lonely. So I studied Korean hard to make my life in Korea easier. I met a lot of Korean friends and I remember being helped a lot by them.

4. To friends preparing to study abroad in Korea

What I want to tell my friends who are preparing to study abroad in Korea is that I hope you study Korean hard. I think that if you are good at Korean, you will be able to live more comfortably in Korea and spend your study abroad life more meaningfully. Also, it is important to have an attitude that accepts the differences as they are. When you first come to Korea, you will inevitably feel the differences in food, culture, etc., but rather than rejecting them, I think it would be much better to accept and enjoy those differences~

5. To the Kikine family

All of my friends here are really great people! I hope you all always remember that you are doing well and will continue to do well. To all the international students, I hope you live hard in Korea and have a meaningful study abroad life. I will always support you!
