The 1st International Sowol Poetry Recitation Contest will be held to spread Korea's beautiful poetry around the world and provide multicultural families and foreigners with an opportunity to deeply understand Korean culture. This contest is planned to be held in an offline direct participation format and an online video contest format so that more people can participate.

1. Offline direct participation method

Those who wish to participate offline will have the opportunity to recite their poems in person in Busan . In the offline format, poems are recited on site, and those who pass the preliminary round will compete in the final round.

• Application Deadline: 5:00 PM, Monday, September 30, 2024
• Preliminary Announcement: Thursday, October 10, 2024 (Notice on Naver Cafe 'Sowol Love' and Eurasia Education Center website)
• Main Competition: November 1, 2024 (Eurasia Platform, Busan)

Entry documents: You must submit an application form and mp3 files of two poems . The files must be recorded without background music.

Awards Details (Offline):

• Target (1 person): 1 million won
• Gold Prize (1 person): 700,000 won
• Silver Prize (2 people): 500,000 won each
• Statues (3 people): 300,000 won each
• Encouragement Award (5 people): 200,000 won each

2. Online video contest method

The online participation method is to submit a poetry recitation in the form of a video . This method, designed for foreigners and multicultural families who live overseas or have difficulty participating offline, provides an opportunity to advance to the finals through a video.

• Application Deadline: 5:00 PM, Tuesday, October 15, 2024
• Announcement of winners: Thursday, October 20, 2024 (announced on Naver Cafe 'Sowol Love' and Eurasia Education Center website)

Application documents: You must submit an application form and a video file of two poems being recited .

Awards Details (Online):

• Target (1 person): 500,000 won
• Gold Prize (1 person): 300,000 won
• Silver Prize (2 people): 200,000 won each
• Statues (3 people): 100,000 won each
