We are offering a special opportunity at the Beyond 2024 Hangul & K-Culture International Festival in Busan! We are recruiting participants for the Korean speech contest for foreigners and multicultural families living in Korea. Eligibility and Recruitment Period

This contest is open to all foreigners and multicultural families living in Korea . It will be the perfect stage for those who want to share their experiences while studying Korean. The application period has been extended from Friday, August 23, 2024 to Monday, September 30, 2024 at 18:00, so hurry and apply!

How the competition is conducted

Participants must first submit preliminary documents . After writing a speech and submitting a recording file, approximately 50 finalists will be selected through screening. The finals will be held on Sunday, October 6 at BEXCO in Busan, and finalists will share their stories through live speeches. The finals topic will be announced on the day, and it is a topic that anyone can easily participate in, so feel free to challenge yourself!

Contest theme and schedule

In the preliminary round, you will submit a speech on the topic of your Korean language learning journey and changes in your life . The final round will be held in Hall 5A of BEXCO 2nd Exhibition Center in Busan on the afternoon of October 6th . You can easily prepare a new topic that will be revealed on the day of the final round!

A rich list of awards

A total of seven winners will be selected for the Beyond 2024 Speaking Contest:

• Grand Prize (1 person) : 1 million won and opportunity to appear on KBS
• Excellence Award (2 people) : 500,000 won each, speeches published on the official website
• Encouragement Award (4 people) : 250,000 won each, speeches published on the official website
• Participation Prize (Finalist) : 2 tickets to "Silent Music & Party" in Festival October Village (valued at 60,000 won) and 2 beers at BEXCO outdoor parking lot
• Achasang (first-come, first-served 300 people) : 1 ticket to "Silent Music & Party" in Festival October Village (valued at 30,000 won)
