I lived in Daegu for 4 years, and if you ask me where my favorite place in Daegu is, I would say Dongchon Resort. It is such a beautiful place that I would definitely recommend it to international students who are traveling to Daegu or living in Daegu. Let's take a look together~
Dongchon Recreational Area is a beautiful park full of nature in Dong-gu, Daegu. It is a great place to take a walk, ride a bike, or have a picnic, along the Geumho River. Dongchon Recreational Area is perfect for those who want to relax in nature or spend quality time with friends, family, or lovers. It is a place where you can enjoy nature in the city.
In spring, cherry blossoms are in full bloom, brightening up the riverside, and in fall, the leaves change color, creating a beautiful color combination. Even in winter, the quiet riverside scenery is charming. The photo below is one I took when I went in spring. Isn't it beautiful? And in the evening, the lights on the bridge are turned on, reflecting on the river, creating a romantic atmosphere, and it's also famous as a great place to take pictures. You can also ride a duck boat~
Daegu Dong-gu will hold a 'Sunrise Event' at Dongchon Resort Sunrise Park on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 to celebrate the new year. The event will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 AM, and the expected sunrise time is 7:36 AM.
