I recently went to Banpo Hangang Park. When I went in the evening, there was a fountain show going on! This was my first time seeing the fountain show at Banpo Hangang Park, and it was much more impressive and wonderful than I expected. Today, I’m going to introduce you to Banpo’s beautiful fountain show~
The Moonlight Rainbow Fountain is a fountain show that takes place on Banpo Bridge . Banpo Hangang Park is about a 15-minute walk from Express Bus Terminal Station on Subway Line 3 in Seoul. Or, you can get there a little closer from Sinbanpo Station on Subway Line 9. If you walk along the Hangang River, you will naturally head toward the fountain.
The day I went was 8pm, and when the show started, everyone stopped and stared at the fountain. This year’s fountain show runs from April to October, and they say it runs about 4 times a day. On weekdays, it runs from 7:30pm to 9pm, and on weekends, there are additional shows, so be sure to check the schedule before you go! It usually runs every 20 minutes, and each show lasts about 15 minutes.
When the fountain show starts, it's not just water that comes out. The water moves to the rhythm with background music, so it feels like watching a performance. When I went, sweet classical music was playing, and it was really cool to see the water dancing to the music. And with the LED lights added, the colors kept changing. Blue, pink, purple, green... I couldn't help but be amazed the whole time I was watching~
