Today, I was on my way out of the Ron Mueck exhibition at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Seoul. The weather was so nice that I didn't want to just go home, so I walked slowly toward Gwanghwamun. I just walked wherever my feet took me without thinking about anything.
In the middle of Gwanghwamun Square, I came across a very special sight. It is the 'Gwanghwamun Outdoor Book Yard'. Let's take a look together~
Gwanghwamun Book Yard, held in Gwanghwamun Square, is a special outdoor library where you can enjoy leisure time with books in the city. It is designed as an open space where anyone can sit and read a book. What surprised me was how many different people were there. It was so nice to see! Just the fact that such a quiet and peaceful space exists in the busy Gwanghwamun Square warmed my heart.
Gwanghwamun Book Yard will be operated twice in 2025. The first operation will be from Wednesday, April 23 to Sunday, June 29, 2025, and the second operation will be from Friday, September 5 to Sunday, November 2, 2025. Operations will be held every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. During this period, Gwanghwamun Book Yard will also be holding various programs and events!
All programs and spaces at Gwanghwamun Book Yard are free to use. Some programs may require advance reservations, so please check the official website.
