Hello everyone~!

I recently visited Namguro Market in Guro-gu, Seoul. I was surprised by how much bigger and more lively it was than I expected, and the fresh ingredients and warm hospitality made it a really pleasant time.

1️⃣ Location of Namguro Market

Namguro Market is located about 2-3 minutes on foot from Exit 1 of Namguro Station on Subway Line 7 in Seoul. Transportation is very convenient. I was able to get there easily because Line 7 is right in front of my house. Guro Digital Complex and Daerim Station are also close by, so it’s a great place to stop by if you have a chance!

2️⃣ Introduction to Namguro Market

As soon as I entered the market, there were vegetable stores, fruit stores, fish stores, and butcher shops lined up in a row. The butcher shop in particular had the most people because the meat quality was good and the prices were reasonable. And the seasonal fruits and vegetables were plump and fresh, and I bought melons and grapes! There were also plenty of snacks like fried food, fish cakes, tteokbokki, sundae, steamed buns, and hotteok in between the market alleys~

Above all, the biggest attraction of Namguro Market is its low prices. It is much cheaper than the mart, the quantity is generous, and they even give discounts... Thanks to that, my shopping cart was quickly filled. Haha. These days, there are many large marts and franchise stores, but I still sometimes visit a cozy alley market and feel the warm scent of people and the lively atmosphere. When I want to do that, I always come to a market like this!

If you are an international student who has never been to a traditional market before, or an international student who lives near Guro, Seoul, I highly recommend you visit Namguro Market! 😊

Have a nice day~
