hello everyone!
I recently attended a conference, and this time I participated as a presenter, so it was a truly meaningful experience. Today, I would like to share my experience from the conference~
The conference I am participating in this time is the '2025 National Graduate Student Conference', a place for academic exchange for graduate students across the country. This conference is hosted by the BK21 Education and Research Group of the Department of Media Studies at Korea University, and the BK21 FOUR of the Department of Journalism and Communication at Seoul National University, and is a valuable place to share academic inspiration with graduate students who dream of becoming future researchers!
Here, graduate students from all over the country gathered together to share and communicate their research, which was a meaningful time. I learned a lot from listening to the presentations of many excellent graduate students, and it was a very beneficial experience. Especially for presenters, it was great that they were given professional feedback and discussion time from professors. At first, I was very nervous about presenting in an unfamiliar place. I was very nervous before the presentation started, but once I started, I started to feel relaxed little by little as I saw people listening to what I had to say.
This conference was held for 2 days and 1 night, and I was really impressed that they provided accommodations at a nice hotel. As you can see from the photos below, the hotel was really cozy and clean, which was nice! As an international student, I was really grateful and proud to have the opportunity to present at such a place~
What was most surprising was that the paper I presented unexpectedly won an award of excellence! Of course, I know that I still have a lot to learn. So I will take this award as a message to myself to “work harder.” I will learn more, think more deeply, and grow a little more than I am now!
This time was a really meaningful experience for me, and I want to continue taking on challenges like this in the future :) I hope you all try a lot too~
have a good day!
