Hello everyone!

Today, I'm going to introduce my first escape room experience. I went to Hongdae, a hot place in Seoul, with my friends! It was a special experience that I would definitely recommend to international students!

1️⃣ Korean Escape Room

For those of you who don't know what an escape room is, I'll give you a brief explanation. An escape room is a game where you enter a space filled with mysterious stories and puzzles, and you have to find clues and escape the room within a limited time. Since you have to work together with your friends to solve the problems, teamwork and reasoning skills are very important. I'm not good at that, but my friend was really good at it, so I followed him. Haha

2️⃣ Escape Room in Hongdae, Korea

The place we visited was an escape room cafe located in Hongdae. The interior was really impressive! The entrance was decorated like a train station, and there were actual signs that said 'Departure' and 'Arrival'. Each theme made me feel like I was going on a trip, so it was really interesting and immersive.

3️⃣ Korean Escape Room Experience

As you can see in the picture above, after the game is over, they give out a ticket that looks like a real train ticket as a souvenir! Isn’t it really detailed? The theme we chose this time was “384 DAYS.” Luckily, we had to solve the mystery that happened in a secret space and escape within the time limit! You can also get hints here and there, so it’s a beginner-friendly system!

Above all, I think the biggest charm of escape rooms is the fun of collaboration. The process of sharing ideas with friends and gradually unraveling the story was really interesting! I recommend the escape room experience to foreign friends who are visiting or studying in Korea.
