Hello everyone~
Yesterday, I went to the IFC Mall in Yeouido with a friend! To celebrate World Humanitarian Day, we opened a pop-up store there. Today, I'll share a review of the pop-up store.
August 19th is celebrated worldwide as World Humanitarian Day. Designated by the UN, it commemorates the humanitarian workers who perished in the 2003 bombing of the UN office in Baghdad, Iraq, and recognizes the efforts of those still helping those in crisis today. In celebration, World Vision, an international relief and development NGO, held a pop-up exhibition titled "Someone's Day Now" at the IFC Mall in Yeouido from August 17th to 25th.
The exhibition consisted of four mission-based booths, allowing visitors to indirectly experience "A Day in the Life of a Humanitarian Activist." If you collected all the stamps at each booth, you could receive a cute Someone's Day keychain set as a gift! My friends and I all received one! Just looking at the keychains featuring activist characters was so healing! Haha. We also received some cute stickers.
The number of people whose lives are threatened daily by war, climate disasters, poverty, and other issues continues to grow worldwide. But as such news becomes increasingly familiar, I found this exhibition, which naturally brings the keyword "humanitarianism" to life in a shopping mall, truly precious and meaningful. I visited this pop-up store with friends and came away feeling deeply moved.
Next time you see an experiential exhibition like this, you should definitely stop by! We can all become "humanitarians"!
have a good day!
