A while ago, I went to Aladdin, a used bookstore, with a friend. When you think of Aladdin, many people probably think of the online bookstore, but they actually have a brick-and-mortar store as well. Today, I'd like to introduce you to Aladdin.
This time, I visited the Aladdin Used Bookstore Yeongdeungpo branch in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul. It's conveniently located near Yeongdeungpo Station on Subway Line 1, and its connection to a large shopping mall makes it a great location for a bit of shopping. The interior of the store was very spacious and comfortable. The lighting was bright, and the floors were clean and well-maintained, so I didn't feel tired even after browsing for a long time.
The books were neatly organized by genre, making it easy to find what I wanted. I was particularly impressed by the "Comics" section, which featured a variety of series neatly organized. For comic book lovers, this place would be a paradise!
There's not only books, but also a music corner. They had everything from the latest hot K-pop albums to various LPs and independent music albums, and it seemed like new releases were arriving pretty quickly. My friend really liked the K-pop album, so I bought one. If you're a music lover, just browsing through the shelves would be a fun experience.
Another great thing about Aladdin is that you can sell your used books directly! There's a dedicated used book sales desk in one corner of the store, so you can apply for sales online in advance or submit your books on-site. You can also check the availability of books on the Aladdin website in advance.
I thought Aladdin might be a good place for international students looking to buy used Korean books, so I've included it here. Aladdin has several locations nationwide, but inventory varies by location, so I recommend checking online before you go to see if they have the book you want.
