hi! Today, I will talk about Korean funeral culture.

Funerals in Korea are one of the most important ceremonies and have been observed since ancient times.

Funerals are usually held by family members or close friends of the deceased. So, in many cases, all family members and friends come together to prepare and participate in the funeral.

Korean funerals generally include religious meanings such as Buddhism or Christianity. In Buddhism, many Buddhist ceremonies exist because the spirits of the dead are thought to support the beginning of a new life in the next life. And in Christianity, it is considered important to pray for the dead to go to heaven, so there are many Christian ceremonies.

But there are also many non-religious people. So, in general, a funeral is a ceremony held to send the dead safely to the afterlife.

In Korean funerals, family and friends usually hold a three-day funeral to remember the deceased. During this period, it is common for the family and friends of the deceased to gather and sit together to pay their respects.

On the first day, enshrinement and incense are carried out, and on the second day, the funeral is held on the last day of admission.

And on the day of the funeral, all family and friends gather, and on the second day, acquaintances, friends, people from the company, and acquaintances of family members come to pay tribute. A burial ceremony refers to the carrying of a dead person out of a funeral home.

And finally, cremation is done, and cremation refers to the final disposal of the remains by burning the body. It is said that the coffin containing the body is burned and the remaining bones are collected and buried. According to the Buddhist burial method, the coffin containing the body is burned and the remaining ashes are made into white ashes, and then stored in a box, buried in a cemetery, or enshrined in a charnel house.

I've never been to a Korean funeral, but from the experiences of my friends, they say that during the three days of the funeral, the family stays awake and guards the funeral home. A funeral is such a sad, hard thing.

Now, I will briefly tell you about the funeral in Mongolia, our country.

Mongolia also has many different religions. But I'll give you the most popular way. Unlike Korea, Mongolia has a reluctance to wear makeup. So, like European or Russian cultures, it is a method of burying a coffin by erecting a tombstone of granite or stone on a cement grave.

But when it comes to choosing a funeral day or a place for a grave, it relies heavily on religion.

I took a brief look at the funeral culture of the two countries today, and I hope it will be useful.
