Reading Korean books is my way of having fun while learning the language. If reading is a hobby, it's good to find a book with an interesting subject matter and read it. On the other hand, if you are reading for the purpose of learning, it is better to choose a book of appropriate difficulty and amount and read it steadily.

So which book should I read?

You should start with the Korean textbook you are studying. Sejong University Korean language, Seoul National University Korean language, etc. There are so many. I learned a kind Korean book at Pusan ​​National University Language Institute. In Korean textbooks, there are numerous conversations including various grammar and vocabulary. If you start from there, it will be very helpful for practicing speaking Korean.

When I read, if no one is around, I tend to read with nori. If you read it that way, you can check if your pronunciation is correct.

Other than that, it's a Korean book. Among the books I read, there were difficult books and easy books. You have to choose from easy to fun books to start with. The books I would like to recommend to you are:

All three books are novels, and many Koreans also find and read them. All three have even been made into movies. However, there are some differences between the book and the movie, so you have to be careful. It would be better to read a book and watch a movie together.

One more book I would like to introduce is "Everyone's History" by Oh Seon-young.
