The 29th Busan International Film Festival’s Dongnebangnebif has released this year’s event schedule. This event has received enthusiastic responses, turning the entire city of Busan into a festival where film and citizens come together. Dongnebangnebif, which is held across Busan beyond Nampo-dong and Haeundae, is a local-friendly film festival that can be enjoyed in everyday life, and has grown every year since its establishment in 2021. This year, it will present various programs that connect regions and cultures, generations and the future with the keyword “connect.”

Various screening locations and schedules

This year, the Dongnebangnebi Festival will be held for a week from October 3rd at various locations in Busan, including Gimhae International Airport, Dadaepo Dream Sunset Fountain, Yeongdo Bongsan Center, and Suyeong Domoheon. In addition, a special screening will be held in Yeouido, Seoul on October 10th to share the excitement of the film festival with audiences who cannot visit Busan. This event, which prioritizes meeting citizens, is further strengthening accessibility and regional identity.

Fantastic experiential screening

At Dadaepo Dream Sunset Fountain, the musical films <Sing2Gather> and <La La Land> will be screened with a fantastic fountain show. They will be held on October 3rd and 4th respectively, and a special performance by artist 'Baekah' is scheduled to give the audience an unforgettable experience. Such experiential screenings in unique locations further highlight the appeal of the film festival and provide the audience with a chance to enjoy the films in a new way.

A space to meet movies

At Domoheon in Suyeong-gu, which is easily accessible to Busan citizens, <Rebound> will be screened, and after the screening, director Jang Hang-jun and lead actor Ahn Jae-hong will have a time to talk to the audience. At Minrak Waterside Park, the movie <Sanggyeonni> will be screened on a screen over the sea, and Taiwanese actress Ga Ga-yeon, who won the Best Actress Award, will communicate with the audience through GV. In addition, the neighborhood festival Nebi Festival, which turns the entire Busan into a film festival site through various films and meetings with special guests, is garnering high expectations from citizens.
