Today, we will introduce the 2024 International Youth Contest. If you are interested, please participate!

1. Introduction to the 2024 International Youth Competition

The 2024 International Youth Contest, themed “Women, Peace, Security,” provides young people with the opportunity to raise awareness of the role of women and express their thoughts on it through writing or drawing!

The contest is divided into two categories. In the writing category, you will be asked to write a short essay of no more than 1,000 words on how to promote the role of women in building peace and security. In the drawing category, you will be asked to choose one of the following themes under the general theme of “Women, Peace and Security”: Women’s Role in Peacebuilding, 25th Anniversary of UN Security Council Resolution 1325, or UN Peacekeeping Operations, and submit your own drawing or graphic art.

2. How to apply for the 2024 International Youth Competition

The application period is from October 7, 2024 to November 10, 2024, 23:59. And young people from all over the world aged 19 to 34 can apply.

However, please note that although you can submit multiple works as an individual or a team, only one award can be given. You can apply for participation through the official contest website, https://awp-contest.kr/~

3. 2024 International Youth Competition Prize Money

The total prize money for this year is 7 million won. One grand prize winner, one best prize winner, and two excellence prize winners will be selected in each of the writing and drawing categories. The grand prize winner will receive the Minister of Foreign Affairs Award and a prize of 1.5 million won, and if they live overseas, they will be provided with round-trip airfare and two nights of accommodation.
