Hello everyone😊

Have you ever been to Gyeongju? I lived close to Gyeongju when I was in college, so I went to Gyeongju a lot. Today, I would like to share with you my recent experience of visiting Gyeongju.

1️⃣ Introduction to Gyeongju, Korea

Gyeongju is a city located in the southeastern part of Gyeongsangbuk-do, Korea. It borders the East Sea to the east, Cheongdo and Gyeongsan to the west, Pohang to the north, and Ulsan to the south. Gyeongju is a representative historical and cultural city in Korea. Gyeongju was the capital of Silla for a thousand years, so it has many historical sites and tourist attractions.

2️⃣ Gyeongju Tower

I went to Gyeongju Expo Park. This is not just a park, but a special space where traditional Korean culture and modern technology come together. The most impressive thing for me was Gyeongju Tower. Gyeongju Tower is a unique building that reinterprets the image of the traditional Bulguksa Seokgatap in a modern way. When I went up to the observatory, I could see the beautiful scenery of Gyeongju at a glance. The harmony between the surrounding nature and the building through the glass windows of the tower was really pretty. Gyeongju Expo Park is a place where you can feel history and modernity at the same time, so it was a time when I could understand Korean culture better as an international student. 😊

3️⃣ Gyeongju Daereungwon

Daereungwon is a historic site where the tombs of the royal family and nobles of Silla are gathered, and it is said to be one of the symbolic tourist attractions of Gyeongju. The first thing I felt when I entered Daereungwon was the mysterious atmosphere. When I read the guide, it said that it was the place where the royal family of Silla from a thousand years ago was sleeping, so it felt like I had entered a place where time had stopped. In particular, Cheonmachong was the most impressive because you could go inside. I was able to see for myself what the inside of the tomb looked like, and I could really feel the splendor of Silla culture through the gold crowns and artifacts on display.

Today I have shared a part of my Gyeongju trip. If I have the chance, I will share more of my Korean travel experiences. Gyeongju is one of my favorite cities I have been to. If you have time, I highly recommend you visit!

Have a nice day~
