hello everyone!

A few days ago, I took a short trip to Daegu to visit a friend. It's been a while since I took a train. I took the ITX-Maeum on the way there and the KTX on the way back. I've also taken the ITX-Saemaeul on occasion in the past. Today, I'll share my experiences riding all three trains.

1️⃣ Korea ITX-Maeum

The ITX-Maeum, my first train, opened in 2023. It felt like a brand new train overall. From the outside, the design was different. The red and gray color scheme made me immediately say, "Wow, this is different!" The interior was more comfortable than I expected, and the seats were spacious! Best of all, there were power outlets at every seat, so I didn't have to worry about charging my laptop or phone.

2️⃣ Korea KTX

On my way back to Seoul, I took the KTX. If you want to save time, nothing beats the KTX! You can get from Seoul to Daegu in about an hour and 50 minutes, making it incredibly convenient when you're on a tight schedule. The KTX is definitely faster and more streamlined. The seats felt a bit tighter than the ITX-Ma-eum. I like the ITX-Ma-eum, but I preferred the KTX. The yellow lighting, in particular, felt warm and comfortable.

3️⃣ Korea ITX-Saemaeul

I remember using the ITX-Saemaeul train a long time ago. These days, with the proliferation of the Maeum and KTX, it's somewhat forgotten, but it's still a decent mid- to low-cost train. While the overall travel time is a bit long, the calm atmosphere inside the trains makes it a great place to study or relax, and the price is reasonable.

In my opinion, if you want to travel quickly, the KTX is better. If you're looking for a more sensible experience and consider price, the ITX-Maeum is a good choice. If you want a more leisurely trip with the best value, the ITX-Saemaeul is a good choice. Have you ever taken a train in Korea?

Have a nice day~
