When you're looking for a place to live, what's the next step when you've decided whether you want to rent or lease?

You need to search for a room on the site, then go and see for yourself!

If so, I'll tell you where to find it.

There are several ways to find a room to rent in Korea.

Use a real estate agent

Most real estate agencies offer rooms for rent on a monthly basis. You can search for monthly rentals using an Internet search or a real estate application. The real estate agency schedules a visit to view the room, checks the room's conditions and terms of the contract, and then writes the contract.

After exiting the room, it may be legally protected to do so through a licensed broker for safe transactions.

Search for rooms for rent through professional companies

You can find articles about renting a room in various internet communities or websites. For agents, there are sites that provide real estate information such as Jikbang, Dabang, Naver Real Estate. On these sites, you can search for room location, price, room type, etc., and if necessary, contact the owner directly to check the status.

Visit the real estate office

For individual properties acquired through a real estate agent or the Internet, it is worth visiting to check the condition. At this point, talk to the room owner about the terms of the contract and write the contract.

Using community or SNS

You can use internet communities and social media to find a room for rent. Each university and region may have groups or pages that share monthly room rental information that you can use to find a room.

In my personal experience, it's good to actively use Peter Pan's search to find good rooms and community rooms that communicate on the school's website. I like the fact that if I find a nice Peter Pan room, I contract directly with the owner, so there is no real estate fee. However, there are some risks involved in not going through a real estate agent.

The method of using the school homepage is also really good, because there are many cases where the students of the school live, so you can trust it to some extent. Most of them are graduate students or students on leave.

Things to consider when looking for a room to rent

There may be additional costs involved in finding a monthly rental, such as brokerage fees and deposits, so you should check carefully before making a decision. The process of checking the condition of the room with your own eyes, not only in one place, is tiring, but it does not cause problems later.
