Safety of studying in Korea: Suggestions for safety of international students
1. Preview destination information
Before studying abroad, it is recommended that international students understand the culture, laws, regulations and social habits of the destination city in advance. Understand local traffic, emergency rescue and alarm calls, and improve self-protection awareness.
2. Storage of personal property
In public places and at school, international students should take care to store personal property, especially valuables such as passports, mobile phones, laptops, etc. Avoid carrying large amounts of cash and valuables.
3. Mating
It is recommended that international students be accompanied on outdoor activities, especially at night or in unfamiliar areas. For personal safety, avoid walking alone.
4. Pay attention to food safety
International students should pay attention to food safety in Korea and avoid expired or unprocessed food. When purchasing food, choose official channels and avoid raw food.
5. Study local laws.
International students must understand and obey Korean laws and respect local customs and rules. Local regulations must be strictly followed for some prohibited activities, such as smoking and alcoholism.
