A Hangul document is a document written using Hangul (HWP), a word processor widely used in Korea. It is especially used in official documents, theses, reports, etc. Among the documents that professors sent me while I was studying abroad in Korea , there are many in Hangul (HWP) format.
Hangul is a paid software, but you can use it for free in the following way. Most assignments can be completed in WORD, but when your professor asks you to do an assignment in Hangul (HWP) format, you can use Hangul (HWP) temporarily through this method. First, you can find MYBOX in Naver as shown in the picture below. In MYBOX, you can easily open and edit Hangul (HWP) documents.
And click the Upload button at the top of the screen to add the file you want to open. After opening the file, you can see the Edit with Hancom Office Web button at the top of the screen. Clicking that button allows you to edit the latest version of Hangul (HWP) online, and the real-time auto-save function is also supported. Finally, you can download the file as needed~
