Time passed, and Deok-soo (Hwang Jung-min) became a young man and almost died in a German mining town to pay for his brother's tuition. He gave up his dream to earn the money he needed to marry his younger sister and went to the Vietnam War, but injured his leg in a political battle. And Deok-soo goes to a separated family reunion program to find his father and younger brother (Mak-soon). Finally, in Los Angeles, USA, someone who thinks he is the younger brother found him.

This film shows the modern and contemporary society of Korea and is recommended for those who want to see Korea in that era. In fact, I can't fully sympathize with the harsh things that the characters in the movie went through, but I think I can roughly know how difficult it was for people who actually went through this period.
