2024 Korea-Mekong Youth Group Workshop - Event Overview

The Korea-Mekong Youth Group Workshop 2024 will be held at the KISTI Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information in Daejeon from August 19 to 23, 2024. This event aims to nurture the next generation of Korea-Mekong leaders through theoretical learning and group project implementation such as supercomputer utilization, big data analysis, and artificial intelligence application for university (graduate) students from Korea and the five Mekong countries. .

Eligibility to apply

In order to participate in the Korea-Mekong Youth Group Workshop, you must be interested in cooperation in Korea-Mekong international relations using advanced science and technology. Participants must be undergraduate or graduate students from Korea and the five Mekong countries (Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar) and be able to conduct meetings and present in English. You must also be available for all program schedules.

Recruitment Schedule

Online applications will be accepted from May 1 to 31. Successful applicants will be announced after June 3rd, and interviews will be held from June 10th to 14th. The final list of successful applicants will be announced after June 17th.

How to apply

Online application is done by scanning QR code or using Google form. The application must be accompanied by a certificate of enrollment, language transcript, and a letter of recommendation from the university president or department chair.

Program Schedule

The program begins with a pre-orientation in mid-July and concludes with a launch ceremony and orientation on August 19. During this period, expert lectures, tour programs, group discussions, etc. will be held.

Participant Benefits

Participants may receive round-trip airfare (overseas residents), lodging, meals, and transportation. You can also receive Ministry of Foreign Affairs and KISTI certificates, awards for excellent presentations, and souvenirs from the Korea-Mekong Youth Group workshop.
