To celebrate Dokdo Day on October 25, 2024, a Dokdo Love Korean Speech Contest will be held for foreign students and immigrants from Gyeongsangbuk-do. This contest is a special opportunity to show off your love for Dokdo and your Korean language skills.

Main Competition and Tour Schedule

The main competition will be held at Daegu Catholic University Hyosung Campus at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 22, 2024. After the competition, there is a special schedule prepared to explore Ulleungdo and Dokdo for 2 nights and 3 days from Tuesday, October 22 to Thursday, October 24 .

Eligibility and Registration Guide

This is for international students (D4, D2, D10) currently enrolled in domestic universities, and 4~5 people can participate per team. Applications can be submitted from **Monday, September 2 to Sunday, September 29**. Teams that advance to the finals will be individually notified on October 2.

Award details

Teams participating in the main competition will be given various awards and the opportunity to visit Dokdo. The grand prize winning team will receive a Dokdo Foundation Award along with a cash prize of 2,000,000 won , and the grand prize and excellence prizes will be awarded 1,500,000 won and 1,000,000 won , respectively. In addition, the three teams receiving the encouragement award will each receive a cash prize of 500,000 won .
