For those of you who live in Korea, what do you think of when you think of Korean theme parks? People in Seoul probably think of 'Everland' located in Pogok-eup, Cheoin-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do. However, are there any other theme parks worth visiting other than 'Everland'?

If you visit Daegu, a province of Korea for tourism, I think the place you must visit is 'E-World' located at 200 Duryu Gongwon-ro (Duryu 2-dong), Dalseo-gu, Daegu Metropolitan City. I've introduced you to Daegu 83 Tower before, but this time, 'E-World' is located right next to Daegu 83 Tower. It's not as famous as 'Everland' in Seoul, but I personally think it's a very fun and worth visiting theme park.

Introduction to E-World

'E-World' in Daegu is a representative theme park in Daegu and has various amusement facilities and festivals. The amusement park is beautifully decorated around the 83 Tower, and it is popular because you can enjoy the night view at night. Many people say that the most popular ride in E-World is the Mega Swing. It is known as one of the scariest rides in Korea with a 360-degree swing.

The admission fee for E-World is 45,000 won for an adult free pass and 31,000 won for a night free pass. There are various card discount benefits, and you can use it cheaper if you make a reservation in advance through Naver Reservation.

History of E-World

When Daegu was promoted to a directly-controlled city in 1981, construction began on Daegu Tower, which would become a landmark of Daegu. However, in 1986, the construction company ran into difficulties, and the tower was abandoned. Following this, in 1987 Woobang, a construction company in Daegu and Gyeongbuk, completed the tower and promised to build a theme park around it. In 1992, it opened as Woobang Tower, and in 1995, a theme park was also opened under the name of Woobang Tower Land. However, Woobang suffered from financial difficulties, so it was acquired by C& Group in 2006, and the company name was changed to C& Woobang Land.

Then, C& Group also went bankrupt and was acquired by E-Land Group in 2010, and changed its name to Woobang Land. And in 2011, it is known that it changed back to its current name, E-World.

E-World's popular festival

E-World holds several festivals. I think the most popular festival is E-World Illumination. This festival held in winter decorates the entire E-World with fantastic lights, and you can see media art shows and projection shows. It is also very popular because you can enjoy the night view of Daegu from the 83 Tower observatory.

Another popular festival is the E-World Tulip Festival. Held in spring, this festival is famous for the 5,000-pyeong tulip garden, as well as sarubia and roses. Tulip Garden offers a variety of experiences and attractions, and you can also enjoy the Giant Magic Book Media Show.

In addition, the Bibi Happy Halloween festival is held in the fall. At this festival, where E-World's characters Bibi and Popo are the main characters, you can enjoy a Halloween-like photo zone, parade, and performances.

Personally, I think E-World is a place worth visiting. E-World offers a variety of rides and theme parks, and hosts different festivals every year. Also, from the 83 Tower, you can enjoy a great view of Daegu, so it's great. I think you can say that E-World is a place where you can have a good time with your family and friends.
