Summer vacation is only a few days away. Are you having a good vacation? Today, we'll show you how to make "Tanghulu", which is popular in Korea right now.



What is "Tanghulu"?


Do you know "Tanghulu"? It's a very popular snack in Korea these days! It is a snack made by coating various fruits with sugar syrup and hardening them. The sweet candy is full of juice, and it's also a snack that makes me think of making it! There is a Tanghulu restaurant in the neighborhood where I live, but it seems like people always line up.




Even if there is no Tanghulu restaurant nearby, you can easily make and eat Tanghulu at home. Today, I'm going to show you how to make it using a microwave. You should try it too!



First, prepare the fruits you like, wash them thoroughly and drain them. Next, prepare a skewer and insert it so that the top does not stick out.




Now we are preparing the sugar syrup! Prepare a sugar:water ratio of 2:1 and put it in a paper cup. Microwave the paper cups with sugar and water for 20 seconds each! It is easy to burn the syrup if you turn it all at once, so you have to turn it every 20 seconds.





Usually, if you turn it 4-5 times, the color will change slightly to yellow when the sugar syrup boils. Everyone, please look at the situation and adjust your time!



Lastly, coat the fruit in the syrup and you're done! I think you can enjoy it even more if you put it in the refrigerator for a while and eat it cool!
