The history of the piano in Samunjin tavern village
Samunjin Tavern Village was used as a sea route from Busan to Daegu along the Nakdong River, and was a ferry port where merchants transported and traded products.
On March 26, 1900, the American missionaries Side Bottom and his wife brought Korea's first piano by boat on the Nakdong River and unloaded it at the Samunjin ferry port. This piano was moved by about 20 porters to the missionary's home in Yakjeon Alley, Daegu, over a period of three days.
